A bit about us.

Vinny Flahive is from Kilkenny Ireland and has been living in the bay area since 1994. He has a long history of cabinet making in the family, his grandfather, uncle and brother were all in the trade. Although he was taught the old school way, he's open to new work methods and is keen to embrace technology and hardware innovations.

Christopher Young is from the east coast and has a great appreciation for the arts. Kit has a great talent for capturing an idea or concept and quickly rendering it into a working sketch that can be taken to fabrication almost straight away. Having worked for constriction companies in the bay area for years, Kit has accumulated a vast knowledge of all aspects of the industry.

Vinny and Christopher set up East Bay Cabinets in 2004 with the aim of providing custom cabinets directly to homeowners and to contractors, designers and architects.

Over the years we have fine tuned our craft and have had the pleasure of working on many exciting and intricate projects from full house cabinetry to custom casework for high profile museums.

We pride ourselves on providing quality workmanship using the best materials and hardware on the market, while keeping an eye on the clients budget.

Many of our suppliers are small local businesses that we believe are the backbone of the economy. Where possible, we purchase locally with the intent of keeping money circulating in the local economy.

Our Process

Once we receive a drawing or even a rough sketch, typically we can provide a free estimate.

If the estimate is within the budget, we can then schedule a home visit to take exact measurements and discuss the job details.

This is a great opportunity to meet the clients in person and try to envision the full scope of their needs and requests.

The next step is cabinet computer drawings, revisions are made if necessary. Once everyone is happy with the details and design it's onto fabrication, finishing and finally installation.

As we do not have a showroom, potential customers are welcome to stop by our workshop to view sample doors and finishes.
