General Cabinet Construction
First of all, no particle board is used during construction of cabinets.
We believe particle board, sometimes called chipboard or melamine,
has limited structural integrity. It is notorious for swelling and delaminating
when in contact with water. It also has a high percentage of a formaldehyde base.
Given the reasons outlined above, we make our own cabinets from three quarter inch thick plywood . This plywood (usually maple veneer) is used for the cabinet interior. It is always finished to a semi-gloss sheen which is easy to keep clean with a damp cloth.
We make all our own cabinets to your specifications, almost any width , depth, or height to fit your needs. A CAD drawing Click Here for an example is always presented to the client prior to fabrication , which utilizes design options and helps give the client an overall view of the project. We do not make stock or standard size cabinets and stick in a wide filler strip like some large home center stores.
Our typical style cabinets are frameless Click Here for an example. However we also make face frame , sometimes called traditional cabinets Click Here for an example.
Frameless cabinets, sometimes called European cabinets allow us to maximize valuable interior cabinet space. Another great aspect of frameless cabinets is that it allows a wide array of accessory configurations. We also install our cabinets and work closely with other trades associated with remodeling and new construction.

We only use quality wood for our doors and drawer fronts, species frequently used are red oak, white oak, maple, cherry, mahogany, alder, ash and walnut.
Many others are available in more exotic species.
Although we do not do refacing of existing cabinets, we do offer a service for people who are refacing their existing cabinets themselves or with a handy person.
Providing we have a supplied sizing list we can fabricate the doors and drawer fronts only, bore for hinges, make drawer boxes and provide hardware.
Hardware
Hardware is a very important aspect to consider when choosing cabinets. Without good hinges and drawer slides, doors and drawers can sag and become misaligned over a short period of time.
We use the best hinge on the market, with a three point contact between the hinge and the cabinet side. These hinges are fully concealed and have a self closing feature.
We use two styles of drawer slides, side mounted with a load capacity of 100 pounds. These slides are strong, full extension, also have a self closing feature.
Under mounted slides have a load capacity of 80 pounds. These slides are not visible when the drawer is open.Under mount slides have a special anti-slam device that allows the drawer to come to slow stop, even when slammed shut.
Finishes
We can match almost any color or stain, only your imagination is the limit. These stains or paints are coated with conversion varnish to give a tough finish that seals and protects for years.
Thank you for taking the time to read our typical cabinet specifications.
